Based on the project stage and quantity, we support production tooling, sample tooling or rapid casting options for prototype validation.

03 Investment Casting

Wax patterns, shell building, dewaxing, pouring and cleaning are controlled to produce complex metal parts with stable shape and repeatability.

04 Secondary Processing

Heat treatment and CNC machining are arranged in the appropriate sequence according to the material, hardness, dimensional tolerance and final application requirements.

05 Surface Finishing

Blasting, polishing, passivation, black oxide, plating, coating or other finishes are applied according to appearance and performance requirements.

Investment Casting Services

Investment casting is the core manufacturing process at Zeren. It is suitable for custom metal components with complex shapes, detailed features, curved surfaces, internal structures or near-net-shape requirements. Compared with machining parts directly from solid material, investment casting can reduce material waste and machining workload for many complex components.

We mainly support custom steel investment castings for industrial applications, including stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, duplex stainless steel, heat-resistant steel and wear-resistant steel parts. For projects that require functional dimensions after casting, CNC machining, heat treatment and finishing can be arranged as part of the same manufacturing workflow.

Tooling & 3D Printing Support

Reliable casting starts with suitable tooling and pattern preparation. For repeat production, we usually recommend production tooling to improve wax pattern consistency, dimensional stability and batch repeatability. For prototype or early-stage projects, rapid casting and 3D-printed pattern support may help customers verify structure, fit and casting feasibility before investing in full production tooling.

Our team can review part structure, expected quantity, accuracy requirements and project stage, then recommend a suitable tooling or prototype path.

CNC Machining for Investment Cast Parts

Many investment cast parts still require CNC machining after casting, especially when the part includes threaded holes, sealing faces, precision bores, flat mounting areas, grooves or assembly dimensions. Zeren supports casting and machining together, helping customers reduce communication between separate suppliers and improve consistency between the cast blank and final machined part.

Before production, we can review machining allowance, datum selection, tolerance requirements and surface areas that need to be protected during later processes.

Heat Treatment Services

Heat treatment can improve the mechanical performance of cast steel components. Depending on the material grade, hardness requirement and manufacturing route, it may be arranged before or after CNC machining.

Depending on the material grade and working condition, heat treatment may be used to improve hardness, strength, toughness, wear resistance, fatigue performance or dimensional stability.

Zeren can coordinate heat treatment requirements as part of the full casting project, especially for alloy steel, carbon steel, wear-resistant steel and selected stainless steel components.

Quenching

Used to increase hardness and strength for suitable steel grades.

Tempering

Used after quenching to adjust hardness, reduce brittleness and improve toughness.

Annealing

Used to soften material, improve machinability or reduce internal stress.

Normalizing

Used to refine structure and improve mechanical consistency for selected steel castings.

Carburizing

Used when a hard wear-resistant surface and tougher core are required.

Nitriding

Used to improve surface hardness, wear resistance and fatigue performance for suitable materials.

Common Goals of Heat Treatment
Improve hardness
Improve strength
Improve toughness
Improve wear resistance
Reduce internal stress

Support final performance requirements

Surface Finishing Services

Surface finishing helps improve the appearance, corrosion resistance, cleanliness, wear performance and final usability of cast and machined parts. The right finishing method depends on the material, working environment, required appearance, corrosion exposure, assembly condition and cost target.

Zeren can support different finishing options after casting and machining, helping customers receive parts closer to final assembly or end-use condition.

Cleaning & Surface Preparation

Shot blasting, sand blasting and surface cleaning are used to remove scale, improve surface condition and prepare parts for later finishing.

Protective Coatings & Corrosion Protection

Passivation, blackening, electroplating and powder coating can be selected to improve corrosion resistance, surface protection and appearance based on the material and service environment.

Polishing & Appearance Finishing

Manual polishing, mechanical polishing and electropolishing can be selected based on appearance, roughness and material requirements.

Functional Surface Finishing

Selected finishes can support wear resistance, smoother contact surfaces, improved cleanliness or better product appearance.

Quality Control Throughout Casting, Machining and Finishing

Quality control is built into each stage of the manufacturing process, from drawing review and material confirmation to casting inspection, machining checks, surface condition review and final shipment inspection.

For custom industrial components, we focus on dimensional accuracy, material consistency, surface quality and functional requirements based on the drawing or approved sample.

Drawing & Requirement Review

We check drawings, tolerances, material grades, finishing requirements and special notes before production.

Material Verification

Material selection and composition requirements can be reviewed according to customer specifications.

In-Process Inspection

Casting, machining and finishing stages are checked to reduce production risk before final inspection.
