Product Overview
Zeren supplies drawing-based investment cast components for use in transportation equipment assemblies. Each part is manufactured to its own specifications, including geometry, material grade, machining requirements, and surface condition.
The components shown illustrate different casting configurations rather than a single standard product. Dimensions, weight, and supply condition are determined by the approved design.
Item | Specification |

Casting & Machining
Investment casting forms the main geometry of each component, including suitable ribs, bosses, recesses, and connecting features. Before tooling production, the design is reviewed for wall thickness, transitions, casting feasibility, and machining access.
Where tighter dimensional control is required, selected features can be finished by CNC machining.
Typical machining areas include:
Mounting holes and locating bores
Threaded holes and connection points
Mating faces and assembly reference surfaces
Slots and other interfaces requiring controlled dimensions
Casting and machining requirements are coordinated around the approved drawing, with machining allowances defined for the relevant features.
Material & Finishing
Carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel options are available for custom transportation components. The specified grade should reflect the required mechanical properties, corrosion exposure, and subsequent processing.
Heat treatment and surface finishing are agreed upon according to the selected material and the intended operating conditions.
Option | Selection Considerations |
Carbon Steel | Specified strength, machinability, and protective finish requirements |
Alloy Steel | Required mechanical properties and heat treatment condition |
Stainless Steel | Corrosion exposure and material specification |
Heat Treatment | Required hardness and mechanical properties |
Surface Finishing | Corrosion protection, appearance, and assembly requirements |
Available finishing routes may include blasting, polishing, black oxide, or suitable protective coatings, depending on material compatibility and project requirements.
Quality Control
Inspection requirements are established from the approved drawing and agreed quality criteria. Particular attention is given to features that affect positioning, fit, and assembly.
Depending on the project, inspection may cover:
Material chemical composition
Critical dimensions and hole locations
Machined surfaces and mating interfaces
Visual surface condition
Hardness or mechanical properties when specified
Required reports, additional testing, and acceptance criteria should be identified during quotation so they can be included in the manufacturing and inspection plan.
Applications & Customization
Custom investment cast components can be developed for mounting, positioning, connecting, and supporting functions within transportation equipment assemblies.
Zeren reviews each inquiry against the actual part design and specified operating requirements. Application suitability is assessed for the individual component.
For a quotation, please provide:
2D drawings and available 3D models
Material grade and heat treatment requirements
Critical tolerances and machining details
Surface finish and inspection requirements
Order quantity and estimated annual demand
Sample development and production arrangements can then be discussed based on the confirmed scope.
